Formerly a stage magician and juggler with some acclaim, Max lost his career to a bad drug habit and by cold cheating at poker tables. Now, an old friend returns, asking for his help with a one night scam. Unsurprisingly, the con goes wrong. Max is forced to flee for his life, literally running into a beautiful neighbor, which irrevocably changes the course of his life.
